Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, popularly known by his stage name Black Coffee, is a prominent South African DJ, record producer, and songwriter. Born on March 11, 1976, in Durban, South Africa, he grew up in a musical family, which greatly influenced his passion for music.

Black Coffee’s music style is a unique blend of deep house, afro-house, and world music that incorporates traditional African rhythms. He has worked with a variety of renowned musicians, including Bucie, Hugh Masekela, and Alicia Keys.

In 2005, Black Coffee founded his own record label named Soulistic Music, which has since become one of the most successful labels in South Africa.
